Fluid Painting

Dec 2017

Paint and its properties, textures and colours. This is exploration of my favourite medium - acrylic paint - and just having a bit of fun.

This  runs alongside my 'Crumbling Walls' project, and links in with the colours of my prevoius work.

Crumbling Walls

Oct-Dec 2017

Paint and its properties, textures and colours. This is exploration of my favourite medium - acrylic paint - and just having a bit of fun.

I chose to base my ideas off the old, crumbing brick walls in Bath, the imperfections of their surfaces stood out in the 'perfected' man-made environment of the city.

48 Hour Project

5th-6th Oct 2017

This project was set as a warm up for the (BA) Hons Fine Art course.

"Choose some inspiring work from the summer project exhibition and produce a response in 48 hours."

I chose to base my inspirations off a drawing of lychee skin. I loved the skin texture and wanted to bring it 'off the page'.

Gourds

Aug-Sep 2017

Set as a summer project, I wanted to look at something a bit different. Gourds are wonderful, colourful amd bizzare vegtables -  related to the pumpkin and squash - and they have always fascinated me.  No two are the same. This is a mixture of photography, drawing and mixed media painting.

Plastic Pollution in the Ocean

Feb - May 2017

I am passionate about our environments and Plastic Pollution is something that I had wanted to address for a long time. Here, I have explored the themes of entrapment, suffocation, plastic bottles pollution, micro-beads, over fishing and oil spills. The result - an 8 ft tall sculpture and a book.
